Ijeoma D. Ajaero holds a PhD in Mass Communication, which was partly funded with a grant from the Intra-ACP-Transdisciplinary Training for Resource Efficiency and Climate Change Adaptation in Africa (TRECCAfrica) and TETFund under NEEDS Assessment for Staff Training and Development. She was a Visiting Research Fellow with the Demography and Population Studies Programme of the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Presently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Strategic Communication, University of Johannesburg.
